“Old typewriters remind me why I dislike modern communication. A three line text is deemed too long; a single emoji reply smells of disinterest. Typewriters require thought and effort; emoji’s have no place here. There’s more humanity in a message arriving in the post and the ripping of an envelope.”

It’s been four months since the release of the final chapter of my latest novel, “In Search Of” on Substack, and now that I’ve caught my breath, I have started on a new project. I really love the movement and am thrilled to be the most published in that Boston Sunday Globe feature between 2016 and 2019 when it stopped running. My two previous 50Word books were met with great success (available on the MagCloud platform: https://lnkd.in/epAK7_KF) So I’ve decided to head back to that format rather than start another long form writing project. Lots of the everyday experiences that I used to craft my novels will be used in this new work. When I have enough content to publish, I’ll release news here. In the meantime, head over to www.marcteatum.com and sign up for my infrequent eBlasts and to https://lnkd.in/e5m5t7t7 to read the latest novel.
