Early 2016, noticing a feature in The Boston Sunday Globe, 50 Words, I became
enthralled with this format. To take an experience or an observation and distill
it down to exactly fifty words, no more, no less, and have readers absorb
and enjoy like I did, presented itself as a great challenge.
2016 was the same year that while a contributing writer
for Motorcyclist Post magazine, I incorporated this format into my regular column
focused on the motorcycle riding lifestyle.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                In 2020 I published a collection of those works entitled:                                  Moto-Haiku: 50 Words on Being a Biker.

By March of 2023, The Globe had published seventeen of my works,
more than any other contributor in the history of the feature.
That same year, I published Life In Fifty Words,
a combination of those published and others that were not.
